Why doesn't Eisley use youtube as a means of generating extra cash? People like Shay Carl (ShayTards) is making $560 a day, and Charles Trippy (CTFxC) is making $217 a day doing nothing more than just filming their daily lives. Right now, according to myu2b.com Eisley is potentially earning $3.7 a day, but they are not a youtube partner and they're not pushing their channel. It seems that if Eisley started doing a daily vlog of a band on tour it could generate greater interest, advertisement for the new album, and definitely extra income. Has this already been brought up, I haven't read through all their blogs?.

Editing video takes a lot of time and effort. It's not really feasible for a band to do a daily video log unless someone commits to devoting hours out of every day to producing it. Gone are the days of Boyd's twice-weekly video tour updates, I'm afraid.

And I really don't like the idea of the DuPrees starting a low-budget reality show to make money on YouTube, especially since they were offered a network deal when they were on WB and turned it down. I don't think they're that starved for attention or comfortable being in the spotlight, as lucrative as the prospect may be.

I disagree that it's not feasible. It doesn't have to be a highly produced video everyday. Charles Trippy does a lot of traveling, and no matter where he is he throws together some stuff he filmed that day, puts a standard opening and closing to it, and posts it to youtube. They could put one of them in charge, or their new label could assign someone to do it. However, I do see how it could be intrusive and not something they'd want to do, so it was just a suggestion. Anyway, to see how much people earn as youtube partners, www.myu2b.com is the site.

Yeah I was thinking about how Eisley doesn't utilize Youtube enough. In some cases people who cover Eisley songs have more hits on their channels than the Eisley channel. They had a bad experience with comments about their original New Year's video haha but that's just the way of youtube.

Yeah, I doubt Charles Trippy also has to deal with load-in and load-out, soundcheck, finding food somewhere, contacting venues and promoters from the road, charging camera and laptop wherever a spare outlet can be found, and sleeping in the van on the way to the next place.

Back in the early years, Boyd seemed to fit about thirty seven working hours into each day. Eisley were usually opening for other bands at the time; there was a bit less for them to do. Boyd isn't even with them on this tour, and adding another person (which means another seat, another per diem for food, another pair of stinky armpits after a couple days, not to mention a salary of more than $3.70 a day) just to shoot video is pretty impractical for where Eisley are right now.

It's a nice idea for sure, but I'm not holding my breath for the Trolleywood Video Journal. I'd much rather get three or four independently made promo videos for songs off LP3 when the time comes.

Nothing beats rooms with natural reverb. Killer stuff. I just wish Chauntelle's harmony was all over the song, like it is in the intro Very Happy

Wow, that's an amazing vid of The Valley! Great reverby sound, and the opening harmonies are magic. Sherri & Stacy singing together always = the core bewitching magic of Eisley for me.

This is a good place to share this vid which has less than 500 views in 2.5 years so there's a good chance it'll be new for some of you, a proshot studio acoustic performance of Come Clean. The 3-part harmonies are delectable, Chauntelle really bottoming out. Smile Love Also love how you can really hear Sherri's vocal lines, like @ 2:32-2:48.
