This goes out to the actual members of the band... I'm a film student up in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada with a question that's probably a long shot. From the first moment I heard your song Treetops, I fell in love with it. It made me feel liek a kid again, even though I'm not a girl, it had that element to it that took me back about 10 years and made me feel really good. Since I heard it about 5 months ago, I've been listening to it non stop. The point of my post is I've made a short film for my class and I would absolutely love to use this song in it. I figured before I went to your production company, I'd attempt to contact you first hand to get your permission above all others. Now, the film isnt exactly sunshine and lollipops when it comes to content, considering its about a girl who gets beat up by another girl in a bathroom, but the underlying meaning to the film is something else. It concentrates itself around exclaiming the point that all people do these days is jump to conclusions about everything, and that they dont take the time to ask questions. They just straight assume soemthing and take matters into their own hand, when all they have to do is ask one, or a few simple questions to clear something up. The reason your song sticks out so vividly in my mind to be te one to use is because when you're a child, there are no such worries. No such complications. People arent about jumping to conclusions and getting into trouble over petty little things. And the fact that your song reminds me so much of being a child, I felt that it was the perfect contrast to what my film displays. Good choice in approacing the band, the label doesn't have any controll of the song. Besides, even if the label did have contorll, it would take them WEEKS to get back to you. (and charge you money for it, probably) _________________
