I LIKE KNOBS, FADERS

The bass tone on I wasn't Prepared is awesome. What kind of bass/amp/cabinet did you use?

I used my own '77 Fender P through an Ampeg SVT Classic head. I use the same gear at shows. The guitar sounds great recorded as well as live. I'm glad you like it. I don't get many comments on this stuff, so i thank you. I thank'd you anyways, i'm sure. Even if you said it sucked and you don't know what i'm even doing with my life. well, i'd probably have to think that one over...

jonathan... i don't care what kind of gear you're using, or whether or not your amp really runs on a flux capacitor, as long as you're making the sounds you make... the bass sound saturday night/sunday afternoon was incredible. you know this already, seeing as how i told you at the show and all... but today i was listening to 'i wasn't prepared' again and it hit me - you write some really freaking great bass parts. no surprise, really, i've known since i first heard you guys that each of you made a great contribution, but it just hit me today...

wow - super.
