i watched the mavs because i did not like radiant. if midlake or let alone eisley had been playing, i would not have been watching.

am i the only person who is of this opinion?
im not a fan of band that thinks their rockstars (hair, lights, and all) when they're an opening act in a small club.

oh yeah, it was a good game too.

oh... well... erm... i didn't mean to come off like those watching the game were doing something wrong... it was just the cheering that went on at inappropriate times during the bands set that peeved me. i mean the gypsy tea room is primarily a venue, not a sports bar. i can understand not watching a band when you don't like them but i didn't think that those people making alot of noise during their songs were being very polite.

but hey thats an opinion, you don't have to agree. personally, i like radiant. Wink

So THAT'S what the cheering was about. I was wondering (but not so much that I felt compelled to investigate).

I thought the cheering was rude, even though I am not a fan of Radiant. Regardless of whether they are goofy, or wanna be rock stars, or whatever , I think if a band is on stage working, they deserve a measure of respect from the people watching. It takes guts to play in front of a crowd. But, this is my opinion, so if people felt they needed to cheer the Mavs at the Gypsy Tea Room instead of going to a sports bar, whatever, but I would never do that.

think the fact that radiant used lights was awesome....If its a live show you have to give the crowd a show.....and whatever technical or physical actions are recquired to do that must be done..............Radiant is a band that has the audience in mind!

I didn't care much for their music... but they were fun to watch. Now I wish I had taken more pictures of them.

awww, come on guys. cut the people watching the game some slack. It was a double overtime nail biter win for the mavs. I doubt those people came to watch the mavs, but it just happened. And why have the tv on the mavs game and not expect people to watch it?
I was halfway up to the front by then, but i still couldnt stop myself from glancing back ever once in a while to see what was going on. im not a huge fan of radiant, but after four shows thats the best by far ive seen them. they seemed like nice guys to me

man, what's with all of this "not a big fan or radiant" stuff.. im sad to hear that... i'll be the first to admit that my scope of music i like is very limited, however radiant* does make the cut-- i really enjoy their music, and they're all nice people. regardless of whether or not they give off a "too cool" rockstar vibe--that's debateable. i enjoy artists for the music they are making, not the image they're projecting.. image is a minute detail, just an individual thing.

Radiant*: keep up the awesome work. sadly, i didnt get to see you play last saturday, but i caught you when you played with Eisley, 7 channels, and ohno. the fact that you gave away discs of your music for free says a lot about you. i love the cd, and cant wait for new recordings. keep up the awesome work, and i wish the best for you.
