Hey everyone! This is Jaimee from the Dallas Sound. Just wanted to fill everybody in. The Dallas Sound Awards will be held on Thursday May 13 at the Curtain Club in Dallas, TX....and Eisley has been nominated. The categories they have been nominated in are : "Female Vocalist of the Year" which can be voted on THIS WEEK and "Band of the Year" which can be voted on from Thursday, May 6 - Thursday, May 13. vote at http://expage.com/thedallassound at the bottom of the page in the "MINI QUIZ" section The cover will only be $3.00-$4.00 Hope to see you all there! |

what exactly are these awards? it seems like in most categories they are just all the nominees from the dallas observer awards? ill say one thing though - its awesome to be nominated for something you didnt even know existed!! |

The Dallas Sound is a non-profit music publication centered on Dallas rock music. Our goal is to promote the local bands and help kids find new stuff to get into that is just outside their door. The Dallas Sound Awards nominees were chosen via write in by our readers. Therefore while being yet another awards show, were more like People's Choice kinda thing. Fans chose the nominees, fans vote, fans decide who wins. I do think that it's humorous that in some of the categories the nominees are almost the same though, I heard so many people complain about the Observer Awards only to turn around and nominate the same folks. |
