Yes, I like Anthony Green infinitely more than Ma.... nah, I won't go there anymore Wink.

But yes, I think he is the most entertaining lead singer/performer I've had the pleasure of seeing perform.

U 2

Album due late '08

Tour starting early '09

Sound and spritually motivated soaring melodies and lyrics could not be better matched.

I second Souxsie. With a Cocteau Twins reunion on the bill (or at least Elizabeth Frazer). Very compatible aesthetics- 'specially if S. plays a bunch of Dreamhouse-era stuff. Perfect intergenerational combo- a bit like the Dixie Chicks playing with Emmylou. Add a Throwing Muses reunion for perfection (or at least Kristin Hersh- 50 foot Wave's probably a bit on the hard side though).

The Peekers and The Theatre Fire would open.

Why not make it a festival- Add:
Hope Sandoval
Cowboy Junkies
Beach House
Augustana

In a different direction:
Manu Chao
...it'd never happen, but would be very cool.

Here's another good one for something matching Eisley's engaging, infection quirkiness and melodic charm:
The Fiery Furnaces would be an epic matchup!

Or the next New Order Reunion (when Hook and Summer kiss and make up again- inevitable when they next run out of money and decide they have more to gain from touring than spatting)

Or why not Yo La Tengo?

Dare I say-- the ongoing JAMC reunion?

OR WHY THE HECK NOT YO LA TENGO?

The thought occurs to me that the vast majority of the bands that Eisley SHOULD tour with from a musical/market/fanbase standpoint probably wouldn't be "lifestyle compatible" with the Duprees (not that I know any of them- making assumptions here). Likewise the corollary; most that would be "lifestyle compatible" aren't a good match musically. Funny that- puts them in a bit of a weird position.

The funny thing is that I was listening to A Kiss In a Dreamhouse as I read the post.

Or... isn't George Michael in Dallas now with his gallery-owner S/O? Surely something could be arranged.

Bizarre serendipity.

They could tour with Sonic Youth, but they'd only be allowed to play head against the sky.
