I didn't like this song to begin with. Still not a fan.

i always thought the song went, "how could you be so horny" or "how could you be so fartless" when i worked @ the Greene Turtle and they played it connnstttannntly. glad she cleared up things with her version Laughing

Cool cover, I actually like the song "Heartless." And "Street Lights" from that album.

And I like creativity and trying out new things. Glad she was convinced to share it.

The cover's alright, but I'm not so sure about this statement:

"And sorry purists , i had to change a few lyrics. i just sounded way too dumb saying 'yo and homies'. enjoy. xo"

Is she implying that people who use the words 'yo' and 'homie' (requires separate scare quotes [lol, irony (i'm not great at grammar, myself, but c'mon)]), without irony, are/sound dumb? Because these terms are merely a product of enculturation (and pretty specific cultures at that) and really don't speak to intelligence levels.

Yeezy's not only intellectually gifted, he's also a complete musical genius.

Didn't work for me like the Two-Headed Boy cover. Regardless of how they are received I'd still want Sherri to keep putting covers out there/here. Without any prompting from siblings. Just dew it. Her voice is pure honey.

Kanye bores me, and people doing quiet pretty covers of hiphop and rap bore me unless their name is Ben Folds or Nina Gordon. I was pretty bored by this cover, but I can't blame it on Sherri.

aaaah, she is awesome! although i have no idea what song(s) she has covered?? that's what you get when you rarely read liner notes (nor listen to hiphop).

^ I was wondering the same thing, cause I've got all the Cardigans records, A-Camp, & uhm that's all I can think of that she's featured on other than Sparklehorse (got those two) and Nathan Larson's stuff, (got those two). I didn't get that soundtrack EP she did though...

Wrong Nina - that's Persson in the Cardies. But I'm sure you know they do an impressive, bizarro-world cover of Iron Man. Smile Also, she sang an awesome version of Whole Lotta Love at some Zep honors, Plant was looking like, "Wow, I really do sound like a girl."

Nina Gordon is the Veruca Salt alum, unless there's a newcomer with the same name I don't know about.

Well one short search and I found a song already. Hilariously good, Nina covering NWA. Reaffirms my claim that she is awesome, and apparently was completely comfortable singing it as-is; (wo)man up, Sherri! Wink

^ ah yeah, Nina and Louise... My bad, skimming vs. reading to get caught up = fail on my part.

Nina last me when her first single as a solo artist sounded like a rewrite of Building a Mystery

I immediately checked out, losing all hope of hearing another song as rad as THIS

Eisley should Cover That!!! For Real!
