I downloaded a vid off of SYP called Malibu1b.mov. What is the song that is playing at the first as they arrive at the Malibu studio and plays in the background throughout the vid? It's got a metronome click track going with it. Is that Lady Get Away or Wings and Windows or what?

hey.... (to last comment): that was just some little garage band Sherri song that i tossed in as for background flavor. It's called "Hummingbirds" and... I don't know what era or where it's from... I thought it leaked or something already. who knows. but it's nothing from this record. thanks.

Oh thanks. It's reminiscent of Julee Cruise/Angelo Badalamenti. I think Lost at Sea sounds kind of Cruise/Badalamenti too, but that's way off topic.
I wish Boyd would post that Wings and Windows demo he thought he already released.

Wings and Windows is such a lovely track, this absolutely deserves HATS treatment.

You know, there's so much controversy surrounding these demos, I'm afraid of posting this. But it's so absolutely beautiful that I don't understand why the band is so against everyone hearing it...

I apologize profusely, but I just had this terrible impulse to share. I'm sure the mods will take this down. Confused

wow. a little too far.

once again. a baby thread should be added to the FAQ and any one started here should be locked with a link to the faq topic (where you couldn't reply). Isthe reason there isn't one already is because people will find out and then they'll ask for it? Well, it's not working. These topics (in Eisleyblog) are leading to everyone sharing it on the forum and we might as well tell the band to never come back on because they're not welcome. Maybe someone from the band could write it so it's a lot more personal and not as informative from a third party.

If you can't live without the tracks, do it the "right way" and ask behind the back of the forum and no in plain sight of the band/family who might still hold intense grudges against the situation.

As soon as I finish typing this, I'll take down the link.

I honestly meant no disrespect towards the band. I don't understand why Wings and Windows is in the lyrics section of Eisley 101 if no one is meant to know it exists, or for that matter, hear it. I sort of consider it on the same level as Sunfeet and Silver Bugs... I'm sure the band played it lived at one point in time, and we have recordings of both of those songs.

Wings and Windows I don't really see a huge problem with (see how it wasn't stolen (it was just never released officially). Boyd said he's thinking about giving/about to give/thought he already gave us the song. (then again a myspace with the song was taken down when made public on here (but that might of had a demo as well))

Eventually this one will turn into another one of the others with links to the demos is all I was saying.

not to mention, mr. pine isn't a stacy demo. It's an Eisley song.
aka, track people are supposed to hear...not random stolen song.

not to be a snob, but if you're going to spout out obscure eisley/dupree song names, you might as well know what you're talking about.

And mister pine is a good username because it's a name, not just a random statement like my crappy username. cynlovescandy? stupidest name ever.

I just made many grammarical errors. Point them out.
