This is the closest description of eisley I have ever heard.

I mean who needs to pigeon hole a band anyway, they are really 'indie' but there something really 'art' about eisleys music, dont you think?

I just say, "Hey, you should check out this band, Eisley."
"What do they sound like, man?"
"Eisley."

I'd say that describes it as good as any other genre name. They need to have a meeting and come up with something to help people describe them ... heh. Smile

i usually just say they cite radiohead as a big influence, and then people go "ok, cool". at least the college students do, college kids love radiohead, its a statistical fact...

I'm sure plenty of people have made up genres for Eisley.
Like the way brand new is called "heartcore" or "mainstreamocore" or my close personal favorite, "extremainstreamocore".

ahrm.

I just call Eisley "fabulous".

when i think of art rock, i think of Sonic Youth and other artsy New York bands, tight pants/shirt bands with compilicated yet simple sounds, with a bunch of feedback.

What's Art Rock? Is that where you play your guitar with a paintbrush?
