That's exactly how I've been feeling lately. I don't know what excatly triggered it, but I've been feeling so old lately. I was born in '88, that's not that old is it?

no not at all, it just seems that the world just wants to get older, and i don't, just like it says in the song:
"i shall never grow up, make believe is much too fun."

jeese, i was just thinking, reading this people probably think i am like twelve, haha, little me!
physically, i am getting older, and it sux, but mentally, i still feel nine, only a really smart nine.

If you are under the age of 25, you should definitely not be feeling old....at all. You're still a baby and in your prime.

I'm 31. Sometimes I feel 40, sometimes I feel 20. You just have to be realistic about your responsibilities. But you should never feel like you are too old for certain things. Especially if you are a man. All men are secretly 12 years old. Laughing

On the other hand, if you're still carrying around the blanket you had when you were 3 years old and are sucking your thumb...you may have an issue or 2. Wink

Thats exactly how i feel .I'm 17 and i feel old but not at all mature or independent .This feeling sucks .I feel as if i should be getting ready for things ...getting ready for life but i have absolutely no idea where to start .I'm not ready for anything .I need to grow up,i need to start doing things on my own,
I need to figure out what i am going to do with my life .

I think everyone can feel old, no matter what age they are. I feel old right now. You know, just compared to all the other kids. I never want to grow up. It's kind of depressing to think about though, so I'll stop talking about it now. Sad

Golly, Poster

well i know why I'M feeling like everyone's growing up.. because it's the end of the summer and i'm eighteen and everyone around me HAS grown up and is moving away, to college or just to different cities. it's a new phase. we're not 14 anymore and we can't act like we are, but it's not a bad thing so much as kind of sad and exciting and above all, new. it doesn't mean we're old, it just means we're older.
